Message Nobody likes stupid people. But there is a difference between being uninformed and being stupid.

A lot of the people who come here and post what we see as dumb questions are just uninformed, about both Z's and how this forum works. Or at least I give them that much credit, usually. And you know most people won't bother reading the FAQ and such at first, just human nature. With the amount of time people waste on here, there should be no problem answering most of these questions, or at least guiding them to where they can find it.

And effectively using this site's search feature is a learned skill. Having been on the forum for a couple of years, I usually know enough context to find something I want, but without that background knowledge, search often doesn't turn up much; typing in the exact thing your looking for doesn't give you results a lot of times, you have to do it in a round-about manner.

The main point is: if for every lame n00bie post there are 5 flames from vets, that's not productive and clutters up the board. How friggin simple is it to just not respond to a post you think is stupid or don't feel like answering? Most of time, flaming n00bs is just as lame as the n00b post itself (but sometimes they're funny as hell). Even in cases of extreme n00b retardedness, I don't see why people feel the urge to respond. Just ignore the bastard.

I know that's probably too much to ask from this board- so at least make the flames funny and worth reading if you're going to do it (there IS an entertainment aspect to this forum that needs to be mentioned =)
